Bow, Washington Relocation
Bow is a community located in Skagit County is located on the Samish Bay. It is located near the towns of Edison, Burlington, Mount Vernon, and Bay View. Originally, Bow was known as Brownsville which was adapted by William Brown who owned the first homestead in the area. Years later, a railroad was built through Brownsville and the community had started to grow in population. At this point, Brown felt that it was in best interest to change the name of the community to its current name today, Bow. The name Bow came from the railway station that is in England named after the poplar tree.
