Centralia, Washington Relocation

Centralia, Washington is a city located in Lewis County. As of 2000, Centralia served as a home for nearly 15,000 residents. In years ago, Centrailia served as the halfway stopover point for stagecoaches operating between Seattle and the Columbia River. At this time, the town of Centralia was not more than a few buildings and open land. Centralia remained this way until 1850 when J. G. Cochran was traveling through the area with a young, African-American slave named George Washington. Cochran filed a donation land claim on the townsite and later freed his slave, adopted him as a son, and sold him his claim for $6,000. George Washington soon built a home on this new land and filed a plat for the town of "Centerville," offering lots for $10 each and one lot free to buyers who would build houses. It was not until February of 1886 when

Centerville officially became Centralia after finding its incoming mail was becoming confused with that of another Centerville in the state.
The Town of Centralia is infamous for the Centralia Massacre in 1919 and from being seen on the news during the December 2007 Pacific Northwest storms flooding for the damage that had occured in the area.
The real estate market is growing rapidly in the small town of Centralia as new jobs and new homes are being seen throughout this small towns growth.
